Machine Cladding

We are leading manufacturer and supplier of Machine Claddings located in Pune, Maharashtra.

In the earlier days of mass production and rigid manufacturing processes, considerations like aesthetics, cleanliness, operator safety and machine guards were hardly given any importance beyond a certain statutory level of requirements.

With the advancement in cutting tools, increased cutting speeds and feeds, use of stand-alone, mdedicated coolant re-circulation system and use of flood coolant for disposal of chips using conveyers, the ’Machine Guard’, ‘Machine cladding’ or ‘Machine Enclosure’ started playing an important role in the operation of machines.

With more and more machine tool manufacturers displaying their machines in various machine tools exhibitions; domestic as well as worldwide; a lot of effort is being made by machine manufacturers so as to enhance the aesthetics of the machine, to make it operator-friendly (ergonomically built), to make it competitive in price and compact in size and of course, to make it leak-proof; confining the coolant and chips within the machine system; thus safeguarding the painted floors of the modern machine shops.

The machine designer is always overloaded with issues related to speed, cycle time, vibrations and chatter, Process -Capability (Cp, Cpk), Process performance (Pp, Ppk), etc.

The machine designer always considers the task of designing a machine guard as time–consuming.

The manufacturing process of sheet metal parts is different than that of machining parts.

The quantity and customer- specific variations do not justify the use of pressed parts or other Mass Scale production Techniques in the manufacturing of machine guards.

This is where The Machine Guard Designer like DEKAR Engineers Pvt. Ltd. proves advantageous!

Machine Guard designing is a dedicated and focused task! With a thorough knowledge and understanding of machine operations, operator’s needs, maintenance requirements, fair judgment built by experience as regards to coolant and chip flow on one side, and a comprehensive knowhow on the other, we give our inputs in the design of machine guards and share the burden of the machine designer. We pride ourselves as being unique machine guard designers and manufacturers.

The following are the issues that we give due consideration in the making of machine guards:

Aesthetics

Flaws concealed in Covers and Grace presented in Curves!

Machine guard helps to hide untidy, shabby machine parts. Heavy ribs, unevenly bulged casting, mismatched machined surfaces, wires, hydraulic and coolant pipes; can be easily hidden behind the sheet metal of machine guard. On the other hand, projected cross slides, towering ATC or protruded motor of rotary table can easily be merged by providing curve to the machine guard. Though aesthetic is to be seeded in design and nurtured in the manufacturing stage, use of good quality- though expensive guard accessories like handles, door knobs, hinges, 3 point locks etc. enhance the appearance of the guard.

Clean Floor

Cleanliness despite the ‘Buzi-Ness’!

The Machine Guard helps in maintaining the shop floor clean as it restricts coolant and chips within the machine. In modern plants with painted floors and ISO /TQM norms, keeping a clean floor can be achieved if machines are provided with a good leak proof Guard. A clean and presentable shop creates a good impression of the company.

Ergonomics

Perks the Output, Cuts the Strain!

Another design consideration! Ergonomically designed machine guards, operator console, cable/pipe ducts helps to improve the productivity of the operator, by reducing operator’s stress or fatigue in operating the machine. Auto -opening front sliding door and console to the right of the door, or niche provided in the operator door for closer approach, are a few examples.

Operator Safety

Our Protection for Your Protection!

The guard protects the operator from the moving parts of the machine by the use of interlocks and this helps in the prevention of any untoward accident from occurring. Machine guard saves the operator from injuries due to exposure to chips, splashing coolant and accidently broken tool or job.

Machine maintenance

Maintaining the Maintainer!

Machine operation and maintenance locations are studied while designing of the machine guard. A properly designed guard helps in educing the time required for regular maintenance and servicing of the machine.

We provide features like Sliding doors (Manual or Cylinder operated), Service Windows, ERPs (Easily Removable Panels), Easily Removable Top trays (ERT), Hinged doors, Cutout with covers and Viewing Glass to take care of operation and maintenance of the machine.
